This 2-hour workshop (held in English), includes motivational teachings along with uplifting music where you’ll learn a Two-Stage Pranayama Breathwork technique. It will allow you to encounter a sense of heightened awareness, mental clarity, and emotional “cleansing.”

The format of the class

The first part of the workshop begins calmly with meditations, guided breathing exercises and discussions around a theme of the day. Then the energy increases in the second part when Susan will explain the technique and the Breathwork begins. It’s important to know that this is not a relaxing breathing technique. It is energizing, challenging and powerful and can be physically, emotionally and mentally intense.

How does Breathwork work?

Breathwork is a continuous and steady two-stage breath through the mouth that can last up to 25-30 minutes while lying on the floor. You’ll breathe in a circular and steady rhythm as Susan guides you to release as much as you can — all to an uplifting loud musical playlist. When the active part of the breathing is finished, you’ll stay lying on the floor as you return to your normal breath through the nose. Susan will calmly guide you through that part with soft music, silence, Reiki touch, inspiring words and readings. It’s important that you lay there and relax as the energy of the room calms down and your body recharges. Please don’t leave the class until the end, so you’ve recharged completely.

What to expect

Breathwork is purely experiential and no two sessions are alike. Each person has a different experience, so it’s difficult to describe. Be ready for a wave of emotions and energy. Be ready for self-reflection, spirituality, loud music, screams, tears, motivational cheerleading… Be ready to step out of your comfort zone. In the end, the pay-off is huge. It’s possible you’ll feel profound feelings of love, peace, inspiration and gratitude. You might feel more energetic or feel absolutely exhausted after. You might surprise yourself how much you were able to release and even cry! Be prepared for some big physical and also emotional shifts.

Why is Breathwork beneficial

By doing Breathwork, not only do you release toxins and heal your cells by oxygenating your body, you also give yourself the opportunity to bring up and deal with some very strong emotions and urges: fear, anxiety, doubt and negative and limiting thoughts. By relaxing into these thoughts and getting comfortable with them, you are working through your stress and dissolving your anxiety. By bringing up these feelings and natural reactions and working through them voluntarily, you find that you can handle them when they come up in everyday life.
