Lama stumbled upon her first Yoga class at the age of 17 and has been dedicated to the practice ever since. Eager to share this passion with everyone around her, two years later she received a RYT200 certification from YogaWorks in summer 2015. In 2016, she travelled to India and received her RYT300 certification at Kranti Yoga in Goa. It is there that she cultivated a devotion to the Ashtanga yoga practice and studied techniques of myofascial release.Through her energetic and dynamic classes, she aims to translate the power of practice. Every balanced sequence articulates the tranquility, peace, and strength she hopes to instill in her students.
“I try to get to Lama’s Flow & Glow class every week. She focuses on strengthening and alignment, and is always prepared to help you adjust in small ways so you can go deeper into the posture. I don’t have neck pain from working at a computer all day since I started to go regularly. I love the pace (slow & steady), and the music is beautiful. I always walk out feeling more at peace and standing more straight!” ~ Josie Shagwert
