(Our creation is that guru, the duration of our lives is that guru, our trials, illnesses and calamities are our guru. There is a guru that is nearby and a guru that is beyond the beyond. I humbly make my offering to the guru. The beautiful remover of ignorance, the enlightenment principle that is within me at all times)
In this chant we are reminded to be equally grateful to and accepting of all that manifests in our lives, that which we label with our minds as good or bad always comes forth in the form of the teacher, the guru. The real spiritual shift happens when we start viewing all events as equal opportunities to learn, grow and encounter our own magnificence. When we are able to view things this way, there are no good events or bad events, only moments in which we are given the possibility to shine.
