JUNE 21 calls out for more than one celebration. Father’s day, Fete de la musique, summer solstice… It also happens we have been around for over a year and would love for you to join in on the festivities to celebrate this milestone with us.
Immerse yourself and sample a variety of different teachers and classes for an open free day of yoga, morning to evening fun. Even though we recommend that you ditch everything and hang out with us the entire day, you can take one, take them all, we just want you to enjoy the ride alongside us as we swing, stand on our heads, chant, breathe and laugh.
Prana, Food, Music and Good stuff guaranteed. There might be a lot of hugging involved too.

AM PROGRAM

* 9:00 to 9:30 am TEA AND FRUIT
This prelude is just a reminder to take the time in setting an intention of sweetness for the day. Show up, lay your mat down, grab a fruit, have some tea, connect with others and set yourself up for some pure goodness one sip at a time.

* 9:30 am > 10:45 am AERIAL YOGA / DANIELLE ABISAAB with Sahar on live drums
Revolutionize your regular yoga practice by decompressing your joints, taking your spine to new lengths and discovering a new relationship to air and earth. Invert safely, experience weightlessness, increase spine extension, find the child inside and swing your brains out with fun and laughter, all made possible by a sexy silk hammock hanging from the ceiling. A vigorous and fun charged vitamin supplement to your regular yoga practice.
Caters to people with a desire to let go and face their fears while having loads of fun. Some Yoga experience preferred.

* 10:45 am > 11:15 am DRUM MEDITATION WITH SAHAR KHATIB
Meditation can involve deliberation, contemplation or relaxation, and each technique is designed to clear your mind and achieve a feeling of being connected and peaceful. Deep rumination often occurs in the beginning of any meditation session. However, with drumming meditation, the sound and deliberation ensures your mind, body and spirit are aligned rapidly and easily.

* 11:30 am > 12:45 pm POWER VINYASA WITH LOUGAL JAZZAR
Find your strength in this progressive sequence where you will learn the alignment principles of inversions as well as arm balances and apply them in a variety of fun and challenging shapes. These exhilarating postures allow you to tap into the only power and stability that will never fail you: your own.

* 12:45 pm > 1:30 pm SUPER DUPER LIGHT LUNCH
Juices and wholesome nibbles for solid sustenance less the heaviness of a full meal. We want you to keep cruising into the afternoon without going into crash mode.

PM PROGRAM

* 1:30 pm > 2:30 pm GENTLE ASANA / PRANAYAMA / MEDITATION WITH MATHILDE JAZZAR
A slow flow, meditative class, incorporating little known kriyas (energetic actions) and polarizing pranayamas (yogic breath work) that will punctuate your week-end beautifully, and fill you with the energy and clarity to jump start your week with serenity.

* 3:00 pm > 5:30 pm OPENING THE GATEWAY TO THAI MASSAGE WITH MAYA ABOU CHEDID & EDDY AZAR
Thai Yoga Massage is a sacred communion between two people used to unblock energy stagnation. It is essentially an ancient Eastern healing technique used as a tool to awaken our spiritual flame. Learning the beautiful art of traditional Thai massage is about remembering to give from the heart with compassion and to have deep understanding of the other person’s suffering without judgment.
We are all one.
We are reflections of each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
We are all connected.

In this small workshop, you will be guided to practice a sequence simultaneously with Maya & Eddy. The practice will be tangible and will give you a nice feel of support, safety and care towards each other. This will evoke the art of giving and receiving, breathing and sharing “metta” (practice loving-kindness).

When we massage, we don’t aim to heal, we aim to help others believe they can and will be healed.

< MAYA ABOU CHEDID BIO >
Maya’s first encounter to Thai Yoga Massage was receiving a treatment in India during her Yoga Teacher Training in July 2008. The depth of the work pulled her into going to one of the well known schools to take her first Thai Yoga Massage course early 2009. The practice initiated a journey that was integrated in her lifestyle and from then, she felt more and more self-compelled by the depth of this art.

In February 2014, her travels were about adding further experience to it from a therapeutic point of view. She stayed for more than a month learning and practicing with teachers that added their beautiful spirit and years of knowledge into the work. To her, Thai Massage is a sacred journey of ongoing discovery, being in each other’s presence with no judgment, sharing respect and gratitude to be allowed to give and receive.

< EDDY AZAR BIO >
After more than 10 years working in the TV production field, Eddy decided to pursue a path in the Sacred Dance of Thai Yoga Massage. Thus, he spent more than 6 months traveling, between Thailand and Laos, learning about this Sacred Dance, from several worldwide renowned teachers and pioneers. Since then, he has been practicing the Dance, in Lebanon, while spreading the “Metta”.

*5:30 pm > For as long as you like TEA / SATSANG / QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WITH EVERYONE
Before becoming yoga teachers, we were yoga students and as we become yoga teachers we remain forever students. As both, we also known the importance of sharing insight, asking questions and engaging in conversations among each other, what we call “the like minded people” looking to broaden their understanding of the practice. We invite as many of you as possible, to stick around for this last bit of the day and allow us to give you a little more or what we know as we learn one or two things about you. Call it our special party favor to you.
